Ward Secretary Emergency Services

Must be able to work all three shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday.
The Ward Secretary is responsible for: greeting patients and visitors arriving in Emergency Services, appropriately identifying the patient; performing clerical duties in the Emergency Services Department, reviewing ES records and entering data for Performance Improvement purposes; answering the telephone, placing requested phone calls; relaying messages, acting as receptionist and maintaining the physical environment of the area. Performs assistive functions and tasks that support the care of patients, as directed by a registered nurse.
High school graduate or general education degree (GED). Medical secretarial background preferred. Medical Terminology preferred. Clerical skills with basic skills in computers/word processing needed.







Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
