Director Medical/Surgical

Manages and coordinates the clinical and other unit activities in order to provide patient and family-centered care. Collaborates with the Senior Vice President-Clinical, the Administrative Supervisors and other managers in planning and decision making that affects the unit. Is the primary role model; and coaches, empowers and assists the Medical/Surgical and Special Care Unit (SCU) staff in professional growth and fulfillment of the mission, vision and values of the organization.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in an accredited nursing program required; or Master's degree from accredited nursing program preferred. Plus one to two years related demonstrated clinical competence and leadership or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Maine, active Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card or successful completion of course during orientation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
