Speech Therapist (SLP)

  • Position Summary
    • Provides treatment and evaluation for communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders for inpatient and outpatient adult patient populations. Pediatric experience optional. Works within the scope of practice for a licensed speech and language pathologist for diagnostic and therapeutic services.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Must be licensed by the State of Maine Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology as a Speech Pathologist
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
    • Prior experience working in a hospital, nursing home or outpatient Physical Rehab Department is preferred
    • Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation and terminology requirements and federal/state laws related to release of health care information
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff
    • Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations
    • Proficient computer skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
